Belarus and Cuba assess future actions of bilateral collaboration in development and exchange of technologies and products for human and animal health created by the island”s managerial group LABIOFAM, official sources confirmed today.
A delegation from that company, led by its director, Jose Antonio Fraga, discussed those prospects of cooperation during a working meeting with Vasili Sharko, Health Minister of the Central European country, the Cuban embassy in Minsk stated.
During a recent meeting with Cuban ambassador to Belarus, Gerardo Suarez, Sharko ratified his country’s willingness to continue strengthening collaboration with Cuba in the biotechnological and pharmaceutical industry.
The delegation also held fruitful exchanges with senior officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Institute of Organic Chemistry, attached to the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, according to reports.
The Cuban visitors also travelled to the region of Vitebks, where they talked with territorial authorities and visited the bio-product plant, belonging to the Vielvitunifarm Company.
Fraga recently expressed satisfaction in Moscow for the signing of an agreement with the Russian firm, to jointly produce an anti-cancer medicine.
