British cinema, theater, dance and music will take Havana stages as of June 1st during the second week of British culture.
Under the slogan “Siete dias con swing” (Seven-day swing), the event will also deal with environmental-related issues of crucial importance to the preservation of the planet.
According to Prensa Latina’s news,the group Pena Meisler, directed by Stephen Bailen, will bring to the stage “Blue/Orange”, a play about racial prejudices.
Music will be present at the Tremendonga party, an event bearing the title of one of the latest songs of Cuban funky-pop band Qva Libre, also featuring musicians Luna Manzanares, JG and David and Ernesto Blanco, among others.
The program also includes screening of audiovisuals for teens and adults, animated films for children and concerts of electronic music.
The second week of British culture is sponsored by the British Embassy and the Cuban Ministry of Culture, among other institutions.
