A British woman was fighting for life last night after being hit by a ferry in Florida.
Barbara Wormald, 61, was in a hired twoseater boat with her husband, when they collided with the Disneyland vessel during a holiday in Orlando.
Mrs Wormald suffered spinal injuries, a collapsed lung, heart injury and fractured ribs when she became wedged between the two boats. Husband Michael, 61, escaped unhurt and is at her hospital bedside where her condition is “critical but stable”.
A neighbour in Skipton, North Yorks said: “They are a lovely couple.” An Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said Michael may face charges as a ferry has right of way.
