China officially opened a 202-km high-speed railway line between Shanghai and Hangzhou on Tuesday.
The high-speed railway hit a top speed of 356 kph (221 mph), reducing travel time between the two cities to 45 minutes from around 80 minutes.
The new link brings China’s total high-speed rail network to 7,431 km — the longest in the world.
