In the context of the 27th International Folklore Festival Peoples of the World, the Cuban company Camagua distinguished itself in the events organized by the Association of Songs and Dances of Extremadura, Spain, according to the address this group.

“The Cuban company (Camagüey), had the honor of closing the opening gala of the 27th Festival of Peoples of the World in the Plaza Mayor de Plasencia, with the show Caribe Soy”, which was attended by local authorities,” told Prensa Latina Augustine Martinez de Santelices, public relations manager of the group.
He explained that the ceremony was attended by Francisco Muñoz, president of the Association Folklores Extremadura and Fernando Pichardo Garcia, mayor of the city, who welcomed the invited groups.
The culture of Cuba impressed the audience in the 15th National Festival Folklores Don Benito-Extremadura, Spain, where Camagua alternated with the Folklorics “Torreon de Cartes”, Cartes-Cantabria and “Caramancho”, Don Benito-Badajoz, both from the host country, said Martinez de Santelices.
Caribbean folks music and dance (Suite Cubana) were also present in the square “Spain” in the town of Don Benito, where it shared the stage with groups “Torreon de Cartes”, Cantabria and “Caramancho”, from Don Benito.
