The number of foreign tourists arriving in Spain in July fell 6.1 percent from a year earlier compared to a 10 percent fall in June, the Trade, Industry and Tourism Ministry said on Friday.
The ministry said 6.6 million visitors arrived in July, usually the second most popular month of the year. In the seven months to July, 30.2 million visitors came to Spain, down 10.3 percent from a year ago, with British tourist arrivals dropping 16.2 percent and those from Germany 10 percent.
The government said in May it expected a 10 percent fall in tourist arrivals over the summer months.
