The home of Australia’s most famous wine has won a major international wine tourism award.
Penfolds Magill Estate in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, is celebrating a Best of Wine Tourism Award in the Wine Tourism Services category. The award was announced at a gala dinner in Chile as part of the Great Wine Capitals Annual General Meeting.
The Magill Estate winery and cellar door is the original home of Penfolds and dates back to 1844. It is also the home of Penfolds Grange, Australia’s most celebrated wine.
A recent upgrade of the Penfolds Magill Estate Cellar Door, Restaurant and Kitchen, included specifically designed spaces to allow visitors to engage, explore and discover the quality and history of the Penfolds brand.
